America the Beautiful

It’s not an easy time for Americans as we watch violence increase and family values decrease.

Is America still Beautiful?

I believe America is beautiful because Jesus our God and Savior is with us.  America is filled with beautiful Christians who haven’t given up on our Country.  America is loved and cherished by God’s children.

But right now we are faced with scary things like ISIS.  America the Beautiful needs people like you and me to pray.  And to pray hard.

What are the two top questions that have Americans fighting against one another?

  1. How do we make America better and safer?
  2. Which Presidential Candidate will get the job done?

I believe as Christians our vote and voice matters.  We must decide who the best candidate will be. It is our duty to speak the truth with facts and Christian values.

In order for God to bless America we must keep God in America!  It’s God who makes America Beautiful and He invites us to join Him.

God blesses America every day with grace and we must remind Americans that our Country is filled with Beautiful people.

America the Beautiful is covered in safety with prayer warriors who intercede for brotherhood, liberty and law.

America the Beautiful is a land of the free.  America is filled with Christians who are fighting for you and me!

Soldiers are in war for peace, Police Officers are protecting us, and prayer meetings are growing in numbers daily.

Christians are doing a mighty thing in our world today.

It says in Ephesians 2:6-7 that Christians are raised up to sit with Christ in the Heavenly Places with Jesus Christ.

and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,  that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6-7 (NKJV)

He will show us His way.  We are to share Godly wisdom and give the world hope.  It’s up to us to tell others about God’s love.

We are in Heavenly Places with Jesus Christ when we go to the cross and pray for our Country?

Even though I’m disturbed by the evil in our world and my heart sinks from time to time. I will not fear because God will always keep me close by His side and covered in His mercy.

Today Christian Americans are making America a Beautiful Country by honoring God with courage and faith.   There is no time for childish behavior Christians.  Now is the time to be brave and face our enemy with confidence.  America the Beautiful Needs Us Now To Make It Safe!

So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit].  Ephesians 4:14 (AMP)

Will we pray for America to overcome poverty, immorality, and violence?   Or will we be like foolish men and women creating division amongst one another with rumors, and lies.   We are made in the image of God.   May we love with forgiveness, hope, patience, and peace.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

Our Savior Jesus Christ is in our homes, neighborhoods, and cities.  We must remember that God never promised us an easy life.  Throughout His word we discover that He is a God who makes all things work out for the good.  Life is unfair and we are hurt by evil wrongdoing.   God isn’t evil and our enemy is Satan.  And soon and very soon God will put an end to him.  Satan will burn in hell and we will be in Paradise.

We will stand united when we pay attention to the good that God is doing in America the Beautiful.

Remember God has already overcome the world with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  We have been saved.

Jesus says,

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]  John 16:33(AMP)

My words today are inspired by the words of Katherine Lee Bates in her poem, America the Beautiful

America the Beautiful

Words by Katharine Lee Bates,
Melody by Samuel Ward

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!

O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man’s avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!
